Old Blood Noise Endeavors

From Oklahoma, U.S.A.

inspirational sounding reverb, delay, drive and modulation pedals

Based in Oklahoma U.S.A., Old Blood Noise Endeavors is a ground-breaking company established by Brady Smith and Seth McCarroll in a humble garage in 2014.

After spending some time working for and helping to build up other established pedal companies, including Walrus Audio and Keeley Electronics to name but two, they saw a need to go their own way, in order to make the effects and sounds that they could see and hear so vividly in their heads.

Old Blood Noise Endeavors vision is based on a fearlessly artistic take on effects pedals, which has managed to give them a unique position in an otherwise super-crowded marketplace.

Each pedal showcases the artwork of a local artist, so they look as good on the outside as they sound too. With this stunning visual presentation accompanying the spectacular and innovative sounds on the inside, OBNE have in just 4 years managed to create an immense catalogue of inspiring effects pedals that can be used for everything from standard pop/rock licks and indie riffs, to full on experimental textures and ambient mixes.

From the gorgeous textural echoes of the Black Fountain Delay and Mondegreen Delay, to the dreamy stretchy soundscapes of the Procession Reverb and Dark Star Pad Reverb, followed by a foundation of fuzz and dirt from the Haunt Fuzz, Alpha Haunt Fuzz, Fault Overdrive and Excess Distortion Chorus/Delay, rounded off by their unique modulation creations in the Flat Light Textural Flange Shifter and Dweller Phase Repeater and right to their latest release Reflector Chorus V3, there’s something there for everybody who wants to make their creative flame burn brighter than ever before!

Plus with a range of useful Utility products including a Buffer + EQ, AB/Y Switcher, and Headphone Amp, Old Blood Noise is sure to find a spot on your pedalboard, no matter your style.

Alpha Haunt Fuzz

Alpha Haunt is a fuzz. OK that’s simple enough so far, but Alpha Haunt also has twelve (!!) highly interactive controls which mean things got a bit more involved now. Most of the fuzz buzzwords are here – huge and sustaining, gated and sputtering, mid scooped, mid boosted, bright, dark, clarity, utter lack of clarity and splatty. This is basically the fuzz motherlode being thrown at you and the whole pack is at your disposal. You are the alpha now.

  • Highly tweakable fuzz pedal – endless worlds of fuzz at your disposal
  • 3-band EQ sliders – perfect your place in the mix with full control over lows, mids and highs
  • Clean blend via Enhance control – retains string clarity and low-end response
  • Made in the USA
  • Powered by 9V DC PSU (9V DC, centre -, 2.1mm, ~30mA current draw)

Building and expanding on the classic Haunt Fuzz, one of Old Blood Noise Endeavors’ first sonic excursions, the Alpha Haunt explores the vast variety of sounds you can coax from a single fuzz circuit.

With its extensive control set, the Alpha Haunt gives the user the ability to dial in a wide swath of fuzz textures – from wide open overdrives, squashed sputters to wild disintegrating synthy textures.

The controls that truly set the Alpha Haunt apart from the large fuzz pack out there, are the ultra-powerful 3-band EQ sliders, Enhance, Bias and Gate knobs.

Found a nice foundational fuzz sound in there you like, but feel you could use more string clarity? Turn up that Enhance knob, and hear the sweet ring of your clean tone get blended in parallel to the fuzz. This feature also means you have a fuzz pedal that plays extremely well with bass, synth, drum machines or whatever you may feel like throwing at it.

You’ve got the sound, but you need to find your place in the mix? Well, those three big sliders to the right should do the trick then. Bring up the treble for biting and cutting stings of fuzz, or bring up the lows and mids to unleash the sonic sledgehammer and bring down the house.

Crave more unique textures than just straight up fuzzstortion? Bring up the Gate and Bias and hear your sound compress, sputter, scream and swell up like a monster trying to break free of its sonic shackles. Perfect for synth-like sounds, velcro-esque rips and sputters or crumbling lo-fi tones.

You’re fully in charge now of your fuzz sound. So, take control, lay waste to your fuzz foes and create a new fuzzy landscape, reborn around the immense powers and possibilities within the Alpha Haunt Fuzz.

Black Fountain Delay

The Old Blood Noise Endeavors Black Fountain is a digital delay pedal focused on emulating the forgotten sounds of old oil-can delay effects units. You may even have been lucky enough to have used one of the original units before; a Fender, Morley, or even a Tel Ray, but good luck finding a fully working one today! So, we thought it would be prudent to do something about that and to capture lightning in a bottle, oil in a pedal and the old inside the new.

  • Oil-Can inspired delay pedal – made for murky old-school ambience
  • 3 different delay modes – Modern, Vintage and Organ
  • Expression in – control either Time or Modulation via an external expression pedal
  • Made in the USA
  • Powered by 9V DC PSU (centre -, 2.1mm, ~60mA current draw)

The Black Fountain reflects back to the days before digital delay, emulating the sounds of those famed and elusive “oil can delay” units.  These boxes emphasized a chorus-like modulation on the repeats of the effect signal as well as a beautiful and warm repeat cycle.

The Modern mode emulates the classic long delay “oil can” units such as the Morley EDL, Tel-Ray Model 10 and Fender Echo-Reverb. The Time and Repeat controls mimic the functions of the vintage units, while the Fluid control introduces modulation based on the characteristic “wobble” of the electrostatic delay platter.  The Vintage mode is similar in function to the Modern mode, but has a grittier and gainier feel to the repeats.  Both the Modern and Vintage mode have a delay time of 800 milliseconds.

The Organ Tone mode is based on the Tel-Ray Deluxe Organ Tone, Fender Dimension IV and other short-delay “oil can” units.  The vintage units had a fixed delay time of approximately 20 milliseconds, which is implemented here, but the Black Fountain goes above and beyond the original units by incorporating variable Rate and Depth controls for the modulation effect. In addition, the Mix control is capable of dialing a 100% wet signal so a vibrato effect may be produced. The Organ Tone mode also features a simple reverb that mimics the single-spring tank in the original Deluxe Organ Tone effect and has a delay time of 211 milliseconds.

The expression input lets you take on the fly control over either the Time or Fluid knobs (selectable via internal DIP switches) via an external expression pedal. Letting you go from short slapbacks to longer warbly atmospheres simply with your foot.

The output level can be tweaked via an internal trim-pot for boost, slight drop, or unity gain.

Dark Star Pad Reverb

When there’s truly nothing making noise, what do you hear?  Is it nothing?  Or is it the softness, the growing of a voice that resides below the normal hum and frequency of the universe?  The voice of the Dark Star and our Dark Star pedal is what we would use to create long reverberated pads. The noises underneath the lead and the mood setter – that’s the Dark Star. The way a song feels – that’s because of the Dark Star.

  • Ambient Pad Reverb Pedal – perfect for endless ambient soundscapes
  • 3 different texture modes – pitch, Delay and Crush
  • Momentary Hold switch – for infinitely sustaining reverb pads
  • Expression in – control either CTRL1 or Reverb Decay via an external expression pedal
  • Made in the USA
  • Powered by 9V DC PSU (9V DC, centre -, 2.1mm, ~60mA current draw)

The Old Blood Noise Endeavors Dark Star is at its heart a reverb, but then that reverb is mashed through additional ambient effects, creating a new effect altogether. This is a long-form reverb intended to influence mood. To suggest a feeling, manipulate sentiment and to create something underneath what you’re creating – essentially to nuance your vibe.

The Reverb signal passes through three possible modes:  Pitch, Delay and Crush. CTRL 1 and CTRL 2 correspond with the selected mode.  In Pitch, you’ve got two independent pitch controls for + and – an octave.  In Delay, you’ve got the Delay Time and Delay Feedback.  In Crush, you’ve got a pitch control for +/- an octave and then a control for Bit Crush.  The Mix and Reverb knobs control the mix of dry/wet signal and the decay of the reverb, respectively.

The Dark Star has two footswitches.  The Bypass switch is your standard on/off True Bypass switch.  The Hold switch is a momentary footswitch that when pressed, will lock in whatever note is being played through the reverb effect.  This will sustain as long as the Hold switch is pressed.  If the Mix control is set less than 100% wet, you can continue to play over the sustaining reverb signal. You can also use the Hold switch as momentary expression for either CTRL1 or Reverb (selectable via internal DIP Switches).

Likewise, the expression input lets you take control over either CTRL1 or Reverb knobs (selectable via internal DIP switches) on the fly via an external expression pedal. Letting you go from for instance cascading high-pitched shimmer reverbs to deep rumbling sub-octave pads in seconds flat. There’s a lot to explore here and a lot of fun to be had.

The output level can be tweaked via an internal trim-pot for boost, slight drop, or unity gain.

Dweller Phase Repeater

What if a phaser could remember itself? Dweller remembers and it remembers far too much. From familiar phase and vibe sounds to resonant random step filtering, warm delays, and previously unheard in-betweens, the Dweller is capable of countless sonic textures with five controls and six modes.

  • Phase Repeater pedal – a unique blend of phaser and delay
  • Stretch control – introduces delay in between the phase stages for a world of inimitable ambient textures
  • Voice and Shape toggles – from vintage to modern phasing and all the way to random step filter sounds
  • Expression in – control either Time or Morph via an external expression pedal
  • Made in the USA
  • Powered by 9V DC PSU (centre -, 2.1mm, ~46mA current draw)

Dweller is a phase repeater. This means it’s a phaser and a delay, but also a lot of stuff in between. However, this is not a simple combination of the two effects, with one running into the other. No, this is a monstrous hybrid that sees the delay lines actually run in between each phasing stage, allowing you to stretch out the spacing between each stage. It’s something that’s never been done before and it’s capable of creating immense beauty.

Dweller’s magic control is the Stretch knob, which sets the delay time between each phasing stage. At minimum you get no delay, which makes the pedal act as a normal phaser, with Depth and Regen determining the intensity of the phasing. But as you increase the Stretch, you will unlock a world of endless ambient textures residing somewhere between smeary multi-tap delays, pulsating tremolo landscapes and glitched-out sweeping atmospheres. You really have to hear it to fully understand its sonic beauty.

On top of that you have a voice switch, which toggles between 4-stage and 8-stage phasing and a shape switch, which selects between sine, triangle and random step wave. These switches greatly affect the sound and feel of Dweller, and lets you create everything from classic phasing, random step filter sequences, thick vibey sounds and organic vibratos.

Finally, there’s an expression input which lets you take control over the Stretch knob on the fly via an external expression pedal. Letting you go from classic phasing to long and smeary ambient textures, simply with your foot.

The output level can be tweaked via an internal trim-pot for boost, slight drop, or unity gain.

Excess Distortion Chorus/Delay

We live in a time of excess and it doesn’t look like it will relent anytime soon. So, we wonder what are you looking for? What is it that you don’t already have? Something… a little extra or excessive perhaps? Well, the Old Blood Noise Endeavors Excess is everything you need for your next ripping session in 1985 and beyond. The goods – high gain distortion, lush chorus and slap-back delay in a selectable series or parallel signal path.

  • Distortion and Chorus/Delay in one pedal – made for huge walls of sound
  • Switchable Chorus and Delay – go from thick rhythms to soaring leads in an instant
  • Expression in – control pedal parameters via an external expression pedal
  • Made in the USA
  • Powered by 9V DC PSU (9V DC, centre -, 2.1mm, ~60mA current draw)

The Old Blood Noise Endeavors Excess is a multitude of specific sounds, both old and new and all in one box. The chain of effects can be switched between Series, for Distortion into Modulation or Parallel, for Distortion and Modulation running side by side – a unique combination of clean and dirty.

The Excess has separate volume controls for both the Distortion and the Modulation effects. The modulation mode is changed via the secondary stomp-switch, this changes between chorus and delay, while the signal path can be changed by the SERIES / PARALLEL toggle switch.

With these simple controls at hand, you’re able to conjure everything from thunderous walls of distortion, thick modulated lead sounds, reverberating shoegaze tones and even unique pitch and flanger sounds. This pedal truly is excessive in all the best ways possible.

The expression input lets you take control over either the Rate/Time or Depth/Feedback knobs (selectable via the external toggle switch on the back) on the fly via an external expression pedal. Letting you go from spatial rhythm distortion to drippy modulated lead sounds and all the way to highly expressive flanger sounds simply by rocking your foot.

Now you are that something extra. The sonic ‘je ne sais quoi’. The excessive over-the-top sounds of yesteryear and tomorrow. All thanks to the Old Blood Noise Endeavors Excess!

Fault Overdrive

The Old Blood Noise Endeavors Fault is an overdrive and a distortion. It’s simple and not an outside-of-the-box, whacky take on crunched-up guitar signal. It does what it does – to provide the player with ample tonal and gain shaping options in a single package.

  • Dual gain overdrive pedal – goes from clean boost to all-out distortion
  • 3-band EQ – delivers precise control over low, mid and high frequencies
  • Gain 2 channel – lets you go from light overdrive to heavy distortion on the fly
  • Made in the USA
  • Powered by 9V DC PSU (centre -, 2.1mm, ~31mA current draw)

The Fault Overdrive/Distortion is the drive you didn’t even know you needed. It can push your amp over the edge, provide a sensitive drive for a clean signal or act as an all-out distortion for your chugging rhythms, singing leads or noise experiments.

A Bypass switch turns it on and off. Volume makes it louder. Gain 1 sets the intensity of the first gain stage and Fault can go from light and sparkly, to tight and crunchy. Pretty sweet and simple, huh?

Now on to the powerful tone sculpting 3-band EQ at the heart of it all. The Low, Mid and High controls each cut or boost their respective frequencies – scoop it, hump it, flatten it – whatever your heart desires. Low is a 100 Hz shelf filter, Mid is 500 Hz bell and High is 3 kHz shelf. Jangly rhythms, fat leads or chords with just the right amount of mid-push to see you push through the mix. It’s all in there buddy!

Gain 2 is activated by the Gain 2 footswitch. If it’s off or if the knob is all the way down, it does nothing. But turn the switch on and the knob up and you’ll find increasingly heavy distortion in a pedal you thought was only an overdrive. Gain 2 is highly interactive with where you’ve set Gain 1, letting you conjure a myriad of delightfully driven and distorted sounds.

So just plug in and rock out!

Flat Light Textural Flange Shifter

The Flat Light is a flanger aiming to be something else. It explores choral pitch shifted flanging, from octave down to a shimmering octave up and all the odd nooks and double-tones in between. Cascading lines form a lush modulation that becomes metallic and resonant as you push it. Reverb-like delays turn a stereotypical jet plane flange into more of an exploratory space mission. Push the controls and sense the terrain, yet trust your intuition—maybe not with your life, but with your sound.

  • Textural flanger pedal – made for unique modulated textures
  • 3 different flanger types – detune, Resonate and Echo
  • Momentary Tilt switch – for expressive and ramping modulation sounds
  • Expression in – control either Rate or Shift via an external expression pedal
  • Made in the USA
  • Powered by 9V DC PSU (9V DC, centre -, 2.1mm, ~60mA current draw)

Building effects around a foundation of flanging, the Flat Light is a swirling spatial sonic experience you never want to leave once you turn it on. From simple pitch shifting flanging and highly resonant metallic sounds, to reverb-like delays and recognizable swooshes, the Flat Light will induce motion to your sound, no matter where it sits in your signal path.

The Flat Light sports three different modes of flanging:

Detune is a pitch shifted flanger where Shift ranges from an octave down (all the way to the left) to shimmering octaves up (all the way to the right), with a range of slightly detuned sounds in the middle.

Resonate is a cascading set of flanger lines creates a highly resonant flanger where Shift controls the amount of feedback. At low settings, lush chorus-like sounds are available. At high settings, metallic ringing frequencies spike with your signal.

Echo is a flanger with multiple delays added. Shift sets the time of the delay, with the longest times all the way to the right; all the way to the left eliminates the delay entirely. In this mode, flanger depth is fixed and Depth controls resonance.

The Flat Light has two footswitches.  Bypass is your standard on/off True Bypass switch, while the Tilt switch is momentary and when pressed will max out the control associated with the internal expression mode (Shift by default, but it can be changed to Rate).

The expression input gives you control over either Modulation Rate or the Shift control (selectable via internal DIP switches) via an external expression pedal. This allows you to go from subtle chorus tones, to wide flange sweeps simply via your foot.

The output level can be tweaked via an internal trim-pot for boost, slight drop, or unity gain

Haunt Fuzz

The Old Blood Noise Endeavors Haunt is a gated fuzz that is capable of a wide array of fuzz sounds. From restrained and nuanced light fuzziness, to granular and biting saw sounds, many textures and character traits can be summoned up with this beastly fuzz pedal.

  • Gated fuzz pedal – made for walls of ripping fuzz and unique spluttery textures
  • 2 different fuzz modes – open or Compressed
  • Clean blend via Mix control – retains string clarity and low-end response
  • Made in the USA
  • Powered by 9V DC PSU (centre -, 2.1mm, ~20mA current draw)

The Haunt’s primary objective is to fight off your enemies with its gnarly grinding bite – or put your audience into sludgy, doomy ecstasy. Totally your choice, my riff-wielding friend.

The Volume, Gate, Fuzz, Mix and Tone knobs give you access to a wealth of different dirt tones. From open, present and punishing sound to hyper-compressed and spluttery synth-like fuzz tones of doom and gloom. It’s all there and then some!

The Haunt also has two toggle switches – Mode and Low. Mode switches between two combinations of silicon transistors. One is a lower volume, more compressed and harmonic fuzz (toggle to the left) and the other a louder, more open mid-range fuzz (toggle to the right). The Tone, Fuzz and Gate controls all respond in a unique way within each mode. So, mess around with it until you find exactly the fuzz you’re after.

Low switches between a normal signal (toggle to the left) and a bass boosted signal (toggle to the right) and fattens the sound up a bit. Pair that bass boost with the clean-blend option of the Mix knob and you have a fuzz pedal that also plays extremely well with bass.

Mondegreen Delay

The Old Blood Noise Endeavors Mondegreen is a digital delay, totally hellbent on giving you something different than what you feed into it. It’s delay, into modulation and we make no bones about it – it’s weird! Perhaps it’ll be strange enough in your own hands or perhaps we’re just underestimating your adventurous nature? You sly old dog/precocious young pup you. Get out of here and go find your weird!

  • Modulated delay pedal – made for crisp otherworldly textures
  • 3 different delay modes – stutter, Whirl and Sheer
  • Expression in – control either Time or Morph via an external expression pedal
  • Made in the USA
  • Powered by 9V DC PSU (9V DC, centre -, 2.1mm, ~60mA current draw)
The Mondegreen sports controls for delay time, delay feedback and delay mix. All of this will probably sound very familiar to you, so let’s jump into the unfamiliar head first instead and get this Mondegreen party started!
A three-way toggle switch selects between three modes of modulated delay and the Morph controls determines the depth of said modulation.
Stutter is a delay with a percussive tremolo on the trails. Morph controls the tremolo depth, from subtle to choppy. Time controls both the delay time and the tremolo rate. At its lowest setting, the delay time will be short and the tremolo rate will be slow, while at its highest setting, the delay time will be long and the tremolo rate will be fast.
Whirl is a modulated delay that adds chorus on the wet signal. Morph controls the chorus depth, from 0-100%. The chorus rate is fixed.
Sheer is a delay with increasing octaves on the repeats. The first repeat is a clean repeat of the dry signal, the second is dry and +1 octave, while the third is dry, +1 and +2 octaves etc. The Morph knob adds a subtle modulation to the repeats as it increases.
The expression input lets you take control over either the Time or Morph knobs (selectable via internal DIP switches) on the fly via an external expression pedal. Letting you go from short slap-backs to long trippy repeats simply with your foot.
The output level can be tweaked via an internal trim-pot for boost, slight drop, or unity gain.

Procession Reverb

Out of the hazy, sand blown distance, something comes forth.  Moving slowly, yet moving softly, it is seen and just as quickly is lost. It’s a procession, a cavalcade that’s making its way through the deserts of a distant planet or the sounds of another world. A strange mix of haunting reverb and three modulation settings, the Procession aims at inspiring something new, something fringe and something risky and is what we would use to create a science fiction soundtrack.

  • Modulated sci-fi reverb pedal – perfect for dreamy textural soundscapes
  • 3 different modulation types – Tremolo, Filter and Flanger
  • Momentary Hold switch – for infinitely sustaining reverb pads
  • Expression in – control either Rate or Reverb Decay via an external expression pedal
  • Made in the USA
  • Powered by 9V DC PSU (centre -, 2.1mm, ~60mA current draw)

The Procession’s simple controls run the gamut of reverb soundscapes, ranging from simple reverb to complex Sci-Fi filtery echo weirdness.  The Mix and Reverb knobs control the mix of dry/wet signal and the decay of the reverb, respectively, whereas the Speed and Depth knobs correspond with the selected modulation mode – Flange, Filter or Tremolo.

The Procession has two footswitches.  Bypass is your standard on/off True Bypass switch, while the Hold switch is momentary and when pressed will lock in whatever note is being played through the reverb effect, sustaining for as long as the Hold switch is held down.  If the Mix control is set less than 100% wet, you can continue to play over the sustaining reverb signal.

The expression input gives you control over either Modulation Rate or the Reverb Decay (selectable via internal DIP switches), via an external expression pedal. This allows you to go from small spaces to huge cavernous depths or from slow modulated sweeps to rapid sci-fi pulses simply via your foot.

The output level can be tweaked via an internal trim-pot for boost, slight drop, or unity gain.

Reflector Chrous V3

Three years ago, Old Blood Noise Endeavors introduced the Reflector Chorus into the world. It combined pitch shifting, flanging and multi-voice chorus into one versatile box. Now we’ve refined those sounds and introduced a new reverb chorus mode for further adventures in chorusing.

Reflector V3 is a dense, lush chorus sliced and shifted at the flip of a toggle. This is a chorus with a bent, an ephemeral voice drifting between infinite aural dimensions. A filter, a pitch-shifter or a blissful reverb. It is for you to decide whether you are summoning these sounds because you want to or if the voices themselves are calling out through spacetime to be brought here, now.

  • Super-modulated chorus pedal – from classic chorus to wildly modulated textures
  • 3 different modulation modes – pitch-Shifting, Reverb and Resonant Filter
  • Expression in – control either Rate or Modulate via an external expression pedal
  • Made in the USA
  • Powered by 9V DC PSU (9V DC, centre -, 2.1mm, ~60mA current draw)

Chorus is back baby! But something’s different… it’s grown, it’s matured, it’s weirder and now is so much more fun! The Reflector gives you access to the classic lush chorus tones of yesteryear, but then lets you run that old-school goodness into either a pitch-shifter, a reverb or a resonant filter for new jaw-droppingly delicious modulation that is definitely made for this decade.

From deep washed out swirling ambience, to wrinkly pulsating pitch shimmers and all the way to sweeping free-falling filter sounds, it’s all in there somehow and then some. This alongside more familiar modulation tones like gentle chorusing, warbly vibratos and subtle flanging.

Finally, there’s the expression input which lets you take control via an external expression pedal over either the Rate or Modulate knob on the fly (Selectable via internal DIP switch). Letting you go from classic chorusing to undulating trippy textures simply with your foot.

The output level can be tweaked via an internal trim-pot for boost, slight drop, or unity gain.

Utility 1: Headphone Amp

It’s handy. Not complicated. There were many others out there to choose from, yet we still didn’t have one.

Designed with our friend Brian Hamilton from smallsound/bigsound, who clued us in for our own OBNE demo boards, we thought it a reasonable idea to offer every bedroom player a high-quality way to not annoy those around them.

A headphone amp that just sounds great. That’s all it does.

Simply plug in the output of your pedalboard to the headphone amp, plug in headphones and blast your volume with the large volume knob. Play whatever you like and be the only one to hear what you’re playing. Unless someone else plugs into the secondary headphone out, then you can both listen and not bother another living soul.

Sometimes it is just better to keep it to yourself.

  • HQ Headphone Amp
  • Drives 2 sets of headphones
  • Tough metal housing
  • Made in the USA
  • Powered by 9V DC PSU (centre -, 2.1mm, ~30mA current draw)

NB ***Not to be used as a normal amplifier pushing cabinets. Outputs are only intended for Headphone use.***

Utility 2: AB/Y Switcher

Some pedals don’t have to be interesting, they just have to work and have to do what they do. Even if it is just routing signal a certain way, like our Utility 2: AB/Y Switcher.

It’s simple: sometimes you need two outputs, sometimes you need two inputs. And then you need to switch between them or use them both at the same time. That’s it.

It’s not magic, it’s not revolutionary, but a simple tool that you can get from Old Blood Noise Endeavors. All it does is change signal going from one output to another possible output. There’s no secret. No mystery. It’s handy if you switch instruments in the middle of a set.

One second your guitar is patched in to your board, the next, with a stomp of the switch, your keyboard is patched in. You see? It’s easy. Or maybe you need both your guitar and keys at the same time? We’re telling you so that there is NO mystery, with the AB/Y you can do that and all in a tough little box that is pedalboard/touring ready.

  • Passive operation
  • Foot-switchable A&B or A/B
  • Status LEDs
  • Tough metal housing
  • Made in the USA
  • Powered by 9V DC PSU – (only required for Status LEDs) (9V DC, centre -, 2.1mm, ~30mA current draw)

Utility 3: Buffer + EQ

Utility 3 is an always on Buffer and switchable 3 Band EQ that helps to tailor and sculpt the fundamental basis for your tone. You’ve probably heard of a buffer pedal and most likely, you stopped paying attention to the description of said buffer upon the realisation that it won’t really change your sound that much.

Buffers though are extremely helpful to minimise signal loss for long cable setups or for when using an overabundance of pedals. Adding the Utility 3 to your rig is no exception and will improve your tone if you use many instrument cables or have an otherworldly complex pedalboard, making sure your amp is getting hit with the right amount of signal.

That’s basically what you’ve got here – a buffer.

But wait – there’s more!

You’ve also got a foot-switchable Three-Band-Equalizer – two utilities in one package.

This EQ is extra helpful and can be used as an always-on-EQ or you can switch it in and out as you need. Adjust your Highs, your Mids and your Lows, tailoring frequencies to specific parts and sounds.

  • Always on HQ Buffer
  • Foot-Switchable 3 band EQ
    • Low : 100 Hz Shelf
    • Mid : 500 Hz Bell
    • High: 2 KHz ShelfTough metal housing
  • Made in the USA
  • Powered by 9V DC PSU (centre -, 2.1mm, ~30mA current draw)
